The smartphone maker Realme, part of the BBK group, has shown impressive growth in recent years and has now reached a new milestone.
There are currently 35 million people in the world using Realme products. This is an impressive number when you look at the fairly short history of the brand. Although the Realme brand was launched by Oppo in 2010, real phone production took place in 2018. They were first present in India and Asian markets, but have now become more and more serious in Europe.
At its large-scale event on May 25, Realme will showcase new products and follow the example of manufacturers that have run into Europe. After Xiaomi and OnePlus, they will also enter the TV market and introduce Realme TV.
Under the hood, the TV works with a MediaTek chipset with a 64-bit CPU. The set is based on Cortex-A53, which also includes a Mali-470 MP3 GPU. According to the company, this SoC is the first TV to use MediaTek’s brand new solution. It is very likely that this TV will run a custom version of Android TV, but this cannot be confirmed at this time. You are sure to support voice commands.
The proliferation of wearable smart devices is indisputable, so they are trying to conquer shoppers in this area as well. Realme Watch also rides on Apple’s success, so it has a strong haircut on the Apple Watch in terms of design. According to the manufacturer, their smart watch, with a size of 1,4 inches, will get the largest screen in the price segment.
The novelty will be a typical activity meter with 14 sports modes, a heart rate monitor and a blood oxygen level (SpO2) monitor. Of course, control of the music player and the camera of the phone will also be supported.
All notifications that arrive on the phone will be readable, but we will not be able to answer them, just as an incoming call can only be rejected and muted.
The watch will only be available in black, but more colors will be available from the quick-release, interchangeable watch straps.
