A computer enclosed in a flash driveNorwegian FXI has made the first prototype of Cotton Candy. You can plug the flash drive into a desktop computer, laptop, or even a TV through the HDMI connector.

The 8 × 2,5 cm trifle weighs just 21 grams, but in this case, the statement that the pepper is small but strong is great! The device features a 1,2 GHz dual-core ARM Cortex-A9 processor, 1 GB of memory and an ARM Mali-400MP graphics controller. With the help of the latter, high-definition videos can also be viewed.

The FXI Cotton Candy 802.11n can communicate with the outside world via Wi-Fi and Bluetooth, as well as an HDMI connector and a microSD card slot. The communication shed light on a very interesting solution. The device can be connected to a TV via the HDMI port, which can then be controlled with a wireless keyboard, mouse, mobile phone or tablet. The resulting low-power HTPC configuration can run Ubuntu and Android, opening up a whole host of possibilities.

The FX Cotton Candy is essentially a cloud client device, which can be powered via the USB port or an external adapter. The novelty could hit store shelves in the second half of 2012, with the recommended end-user price theoretically below $ 200.
