Lenovo and Google are already working on another standalone VR headset

Details of the soon-to-arrive standalone Daydream headset were released by the two companies today. The upcoming headset is one of the first devices to support WorldSense ™ technology, allowing the user to move around the world of VR and explore the virtual environment as if they were actually there for an even more immersive experience. The product announced today is the result of the latest collaboration between the two companies.

Perhaps more people remember the Lenovo Phab 2016 Pro, launched in 2, which is the world’s first phone capable of handling Tango technology. While the Phab 2 Pro offers a number of VR experiences available on a smartphone, the standalone Daydream headset is specifically designed to deliver immersive VR experiences.

While other VR devices require a complex background based on external sensors, stand-alone headsets have built-in internal sensors. The standalone headset introduced today simplifies the experience: just pick it up and play!

The experience is different from the experience provided by smartphone-optimized Daydream VR enhancements, as WorldSense technology allows natural movements to come to life in a VR environment. You can even immerse yourself in a bouncer and move around the edge of the field to dodge oncoming opponents!

For ordinary users, immersive virtual reality experiences will soon be available, and last but not least; soon, programmers will also have access to unprecedented development tools on the device.

We are already very excited that the immersive VR reality, which provides a smooth user experience, will soon be available. We hope you feel the same way.
