From today, searches on Google.com can be easily refined using Search Options. By clicking on the "Show settings…" link directly on the results page, users will find the results that are relevant to them even faster.
For example, you can use the Search options to narrow your results in the following ways:
- List only the type of content you want: results can be narrowed down to videos, forum pages, or even tests - for example, when searching for a movie title, you can separate pages that include the work's trailer and werk movies from textual reviews.
- List related searches: Lists or uses the Magic Wheel to show you what additional search terms are most often associated with that search
- Sort by time: results can be narrowed down by the time they were generated - we can only see relevant results from the last day, the last week or even the last year
Search Options can be especially useful if you want to search for a topic that is difficult to express with specific keywords (for example, if forumers are interested in dog keeping) or if you want an even broader or even narrower list of results on a particular topic.
"With the Search settings, users get the opportunity to find the content that is relevant to them according to their unique needs," said Zoltán Peresztegi, Google's Director of Business Development in Hungary. "We are constantly developing our most important product, the search engine, and I am very happy that from today Hungarian users will finally be able to find the information and content they are interested in even more easily with the help of the novelties."
