As I promised, now comes the point, personal experiences, because dry data alone never tells the whole story!
First of all, let's say this microphone is not bad. In fact, if you've only been relying on the built-in phone or camera microphone, you'll feel a huge (or I can safely say brutal) improvement. After my first recordings, I was surprised by how clear the speech became! In this area, I have to say that this microphone competes with or even better than my own Hollyland Lark microphone. The speech sounds are the most defined, and this clarity remains even when recording outdoors, which is a huge plus.
Praise, praise, but for the sake of completeness, it should not be overlooked that it should not be expected to compete with much more expensive, premium products. The highs of the M9 are sometimes a bit sharp, or rather more ore, but the thing is not offensive or dangerous, and a little bass tone in the editing program can more than remedy the matter. I did not directly write that the problem can be remedied, because it is such a small thing that it would be an exaggeration to call it a problem.
A noise filtering a feature that sounds great in theory, but in practice it was a bit of a letdown. When I turned it on, I felt like I had a cold, and my speech sounded a bit strangely echoey and nasal. Not crazy, but it wasn't perfect. It was much better than hearing the sound of trucks, of course, the feature reduced background noise to a minimum, but this was at the expense of the quality of the speech. Unfortunately, due to the cheapness, there is no way to adjust the intensity of the noise reduction. My suggestion is to use noise reduction only as a last resort, and try to clean up the recording while editing.
