360 S7 robotic vacuum cleaner - further smart

360 is a pretty interesting brand, if I had to guess, I associate it with 360 degrees, that is, a whole circle of dying. I could easily be right, because the company, which operates under its full name Qihoo 360, originally had nothing to do with robotic vacuum cleaners, but they are high in cybersecurity and even the largest in China. So the 360 ​​might mean preventing a complete attack from any direction. The question of what such a company is looking for in the robotic vacuum cleaner market is legitimate. Well, that was it - we could start the tale that in 2015, they decided to get into the IoT business. IoT (Internet of Things) sounds pretty stupid in Hungarian, it literally means the Internet of Things. It is essentially a device that has an internet connection, communicates through it. These can be household appliances, but even cars or even just a toothbrush. So you understand.

The 360 ​​didn’t make their first vacuum cleaner with the creation of the S7, there are also S5 and S6, they’re either dumber or they know less, or both at the same time. Let’s just say it’s interesting that they have capabilities that, in turn, are better than the S7, such as the length of battery operation that can be counted on a single charge. This isn't a crazy big problem, let's say, as even the dumbest smart vacuum cleaner can find its dock and recharge itself when it's empty, so the chances of us going home and getting the S7 in the dark are pretty small. Let’s just say, 90 minutes of cleaning time isn’t short either, at most if you look at how your predecessor lasted up to 120 minutes. The difference is suspected to be due to the fact that the battery capacity remains, but the suction power has become a good 20 percent stronger, so it already reaches 2000 Pa.

Of course, the 360 ​​S7 will not be tempting just because of the increased suction power, as you can read in the title, which is a lot smarter compared to its predecessors. Of course, there’s a stack of sensors in it, like four of the fall arresters right away, but that’s still not a big truvay. Rather, it is likely to be able to control whether or not water flows from the mop tank during operation. That doesn’t sound interesting, though, even with the big competitor Xiaomi Roborock S50, the thing works is that if we snap the water tank up, it will mop everything, even the carpet. In comparison, in the mobile program of the S7 we can set areas where we do not want to mop. Interesting.

For the other abilities, although advanced, we no longer fall on our stomachs, at most because we don’t get them from other manufacturers for that price. For example, handling multiple maps (i.e. storing the ground floor and floor maps separately), or automatically detecting when you are on a carpet, and in this case, when in automatic mode, immediately maximizes the suction power. On the phone, you can even set which rooms to clean on which day of the week and which not, and we can encrypt this by telling him to work at full suction in the living room during the week, but low-noise low suction will be enough on weekends. It can climb over two inches high obstacles, but if that doesn’t work, it automatically switches to bypass mode. If you do get stuck, you can ask for help - we hope you don't call 117. We can use a virtual wall for it, but of course we can also set a limit on the surface to be cleaned in the application. Last but not least, there is the LIDAR system, that is, at the top we find a gun turret, from which we map our apartment by shooting with laser beams.

So the 360 ​​S7 got smarter and got a little lazy. He knows a lot, he’s really smart, at least in his own way, and because of his abilities, he can loosely be an opponent of the new Xiaomi Roborock S6 as well. What, however, Xiaomi will not be competitive with the S7 at all is the price. In the current introductory promotion, we can buy the vacuum cleaner for $ 399, compared to the Xiaomi Roborock S6 for $ 500. However, $ 100 is not a little money, with such a difference, everyone is already wondering if it would not go better with a 360 S7. The appetite for shopping is further enhanced by the fact that the first 100 customers will even receive a gift of a smart toothbrush, which of course is also made by the 360.
