At CES 2019, HP unveiled the new Omen 15-player laptop. According to the company, this is the first machine with a display capable of 240 Hz image refresh. The 15,6-inch IPS display has a resolution of 1080p anyway, so the new NVIDIA RTX 2070 Max-Q and the Intel Core i7-8750H processor, which can't be called the old one either, will certainly be able to fully serve this. The image below also shows that the monitor response time is 4 ms. 16GB of system memory is virtually a basic requirement for a gaming device, 802.11ax (Wi-Fi 6) may not necessarily be available yet, but it is also part of the offer.

Compared to its performance, the Omen 15 can be said to have a relatively low profile, and the 2,4 kg weight also seems to be an acceptable value. The spectacular X pattern on the cover as well as the illuminated zones on the keyboard are, of course, still extremely eye-catching, as is the highlighting of the WASD keys.

The 15 basic versions of the Omen will start in February, starting at $ 1. Copies with a 370 Hz display will only start in July, the expected price of which is not yet known - we can guess we will see quite percussive numbers!
